Also the Colorado Rockies signs their closer Huston Street to a three-year contract to a worth 22.5 million with a mutual option for a fourth year.

Brian “Professer B” Davis staff writer- The San Francisco Giants signed utility infielder Juan Uribe to a one-year for around $3.25 million dollars. Uribe 2009 statistacs with the Giants was a .289 batting average with 16 homers, 55 RBI’s, and a 495% slugging percentage. To make room for Uribe on the 40-man roster the Giants have designated infielder Brian Bocock for assignment. In other baseball hot stove news the National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies signed reliver Danny Baez to a two-year contract for around $ 5.25 million. Baez 32,with the Baltimore Orioles last year posted a 4-6 record with a 4.02 ERA in 59 appearances.

And Bert Byeleven who pitched in the big leagues for 23 seasons from 1970-1992. In his career Byeleven compiled a carrer 287-250 record with a 3.31 ERA started 685 games and pitched 497 innings with 242 complete games with 3,701 strikeouts. Byeleven will need the requiered 75% minimum by the veterans commitee to get in and Byeleven also was on two World Series winners with the “We are Family” Pittsburgh Pirates in 1979 and with the Minnesota Twins in 1987. Byeleven final fours years was with the California Angels.
